The journey to revolutionize emergency medical response
eMAIA was born from a profound understanding of the challenges faced by paramedics in high-pressure emergency situations. Our founders, David, Alec, and Juan, have witnessed firsthand the cognitive demands placed on first responders and envisioned a solution that would leverage artificial intelligence to support critical decision-making in the field.
In 2024, we assembled a team of emergency medicine professionals, AI researchers, and experienced product developers to create a system that could revolutionize pre-hospital care. What began as a focused project to assist with protocol selection quickly expanded to address the full spectrum of paramedic needs, from scene assessment to hospital communication.
We hope that eMAIA will come to represent the culmination of extensive research, development, and field testing with our EMS partners. Our system is designed not to replace human expertise but to augment it—providing real-time guidance, reducing cognitive load, and helping paramedics deliver the best possible care in life-critical situations.
